Yad Ben-Zvi’s bookstore serves as the distributor in Israel and abroad of publications of the Institute for Research of Eretz Israel and the Ben-Zvi Institute for the Study of Oriental Jewish Communities, the three periodicals: Cathedra, Pe‘amim, and Et-mol, as well as textbooks for high schools in the field of Eretz Israel studies, and the series of textbooks: History, Bible and "What Happened" for public schools.
Additional series include: Pioneers of Eretz-Israel – A Series of Books for Juvenile Readers; Idan – a series of sources, summaries, selected episodes, and supplementary materials on specific subjects; and Jewish Communities in the East in the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries, published in cooperation with the Ministry of Education.
Of the approximately 400 title currently held in the bookstore, about 30 are in languages other than Hebrew. Each year, Yad Ben-Zvi publishes about 25 titles and 14 issues of the three periodicals.
Buyers include the subscribers to the periodicals, participants in courses for the general public conducted on the Yad Ben-Zvi premises as well as courses for tour guides conducted throughout the country, academic and public libraries, bookstores, and more.
