The Jerusalem Press Club with the collaboration of The Documentation Center of North African Jewry during WWII are pleased to invite you to
Screening of the movie
"A matter of time", Chapter II: Common fate
A film by Serge Ankri
followed by a lecture by
Prof. Haim Saadoun
The story of the Jewish communities in North Africa in the WWII period remains largely unknown. This fascinating film sheds light upon the complex period of Vichy rule and the Nazi occupation of North Africa. Did the Nazis plan to carry out their "Final Solution" in North Africa as well? What was the influence of the German occupation of Tunisia during the day-to-day life of the Jewish communities? Should their story be a part of the Holocaust in Europe?
