“Story Time” – Touring the neighborhood of Rehavia through children’s stories

Tour the neighborhood of Rehavia through the eyes of its most loyal residents – the children.

The green and shady neighborhood of Rehavia is situated in the heart of Jerusalem. Its residents have included respected noblemen, doctors, professors, architects, and public figures. Alongside the city’s dignitaries there emerged a younger generation, children who later grew up and wrote about their childhood in this neighborhood.

We will trace the tracks of the childhoods of Yitzhak Shalev, Yehuda Ha’ezrahi, Arye Eldad, and their friends. We will hear about their special relationship with the German Jewish elderly of the neighborhood.

The sites of the tour include the National Institutions House, the Rehavia Gymnasium, Abarbanel Street, and the Valley of the Cross.
